David Vorhoff

Outside of Work.    David and his wife Erin enjoy living in the Hill Country outside of Austin as well as the city life when they are in their home in New Orleans. David grew up in NOLA and loves any reason to get back for family visits, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest along with lots of boiled crawfish and oyster po’boys. Speaking of family, he and Erin have 3 boys and one daughter, all enjoying post college careers. Over the years David has been grateful to have helped lead Young Life groups and other church teams. He and Erin enjoy the fellowship of friends and keep their doors open for visitors.

Professional.    David Vorhoff has had a long career in investment banking as both a provider of investment banking services as well as a user of such services. He started his career after finishing both his undergraduate (BA) and graduate (MBA) degrees at UNC – Chapel Hill. While in school, he was both Phi Beta Kappa as well as President of the Business School student body. After several years at what is now Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s investment bank, he co-founded the investment bank McColl Partners with the then retiring Chairman/CEO of Bank of America, Hugh McColl. As President, he helped to grow the firm dramatically over 12 years before it was sold to Deloitte to become their investment banking platform in the U.S. He then joined the leadership team at Premier Inc. as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Corporate Development. In this role he worked with over 100 leading investment banks nationally. He holds Series 62,63,65 and 24 securities licenses.

John Stewart

Managing Director & Co-Founder

Outside of Work.    John Stewart is an avid participant in mountain biking, alpine skiing and golf and spent a decade coaching youth baseball and alpine ski racing. He has volunteered as an elder and finance committee chairman in their local church and is participating on the board of their community outdoor recreation committee. He has maintained and enjoyed season tickets at the University of Michigan football games since 1979… however, he is more than happy to work with Spartans, Buckeyes, Hoosiers, Tar Heels, you name it! He is most proud and thankful for having the opportunity to raise 4 wonderful children with Karen, his wife of 30+ years.

Professional.    John Stewart joined Comerica Bank's Corporate Banking division upon graduating with distinction from the University of Michigan's Business School. He was then recruited by Merrill Lynch to help build a new division focused on delivering financial services to private business owners. In this position, he developed and marketed multiple products for Merrill designed to attract businesses to the Merrill Lynch platform, the most important being the Private Sales Referral Network ("PSRN"), whose focus was to broaden the Investment Banking and Corporate Finance offering to the private business market. The PSRN platform led to the successful transition of thousands of private businesses. He holds series 7, 63 and 79 securities licenses.

Michael Marr

Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer

Outside of Work.    Mike’s service, social and physical fitness lifeline is Charlotte’s Dowd YMCA, where he held the “national” Windracer bike championship title. He has coached football at the youth and high school levels. A member of Christ Episcopal Church, he enjoys his weekly meeting of Reading Between the Lines, a theological reflection group. Mike is married to Julie, and they have three grown children and one amazing grandchild.

Professional.    A corporate and tax attorney, Mike Marr has worked on complicated tax strategies and industry consolidations, co-founded a merchant bank, was the COO of a technology company and, most recently, served for many years as head of portfolio management and monitoring at a large private credit fund. He founded and organized a registered broker-dealer to serve as an additional offering for a private credit group and worked with the legal team on several important tax matters involving Bank of America. He earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from Emory University, a law degree from Campbell University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill, where he was a football letterman. He holds Series 7, 63, 79, 24, 28 and SIE.

Tim Vorhoff

Vice President

Outside of Work.    Timothy Vorhoff volunteers on Farmshare Austin's development board and is an advocate of local agriculture and regenerative practices. He is an avid runner and is currently training for his next 100-mile ultra-marathon.

Professional.    Timothy Vorhoff joined Evercore's Energy Investment Banking division upon graduating from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. While at Evercore Partners, he focused on restructuring transactions for exploration and production companies in the oil patch. Upon finishing his analyst career, he was recruited by David, his father, to help to create CreoValo. He holds series 63 and 79 securities licenses.

Kathleen Gillespey has worked in leadership positions in the advertising and marketing industry for years where she specialized in partner development and strategy. She also has extensive digital marketing experience and has implemented successful campaigns for varying clients.

Normand Bremner

Analyst

Outside of Work.    Normand Bremner resides in Austin, Texas where he enjoys running, being outside, and spending time with his twin brother Finn. Normand is passionate about art and music and enjoys going to local concerts and galleries in the city.

Professional.    Normand Bremner joined CreoValo in June of 2022 as an Analyst after graduating with a BS in Mathematics from Texas State University. There, he gained extensive knowledge of General Topology, Differential Equations, Number Systems, Numerical Analysis I & II, Calculus I, II, & III, and Advanced Mathematics. During his studies, Normand took an interest in analytics, which led to him attaining an analytics certificate to pursue a career in data.
